LOTV Male Birthday Card

Hey Guys,

I've got birthday cards on the brain at the moment... it's 19 November and I've made maybe 6 Christmas cards. I really need to get my act together.

Meantime, ANOTHER birthday card.  This is for someone who is a football fan - can you tell? I'm not great with knowing the strips, so I think the colour of the shirt is pretty close.

The stamp is an LOTV coloured with copics, papers are a mix of Christmas Papers and Men papers from Papermania, as is the ribbon and the buttons.  The rosette is part of the Mens papers decoupage pack. I used the liquid pearls stuff from dove craft to make the little dots - now that was a first, so I'll need some more practice, cos they came out like little spikes! oops!

Well hope you like today's card guys, thanks for stopping by.  Lyns xx

What's on your workdesk Wednesday 337 - Birthday Box Card

Hey Fellow Desk Creeps!

Hope you are all well today, it might look like there's not very much happening apart from mess in my desk shot.  Behind on the bed, representing much the same look...

I like to spread out when I'm working! I took these photos whilst searching high and low for a stamp - I did find it in the end too.

This is the stamp in question, it is by Scruffy Little Cat, from Crafter's Companion and unfortunately I don't think you can buy it any more.  I'm a little bit obsessed with box-cards at the moment, I swear my next card won't be a box!

She's coloured with copics, with a little bit of stickles for sparkle.  The papers and gems are papermania forever friends paper, the sentiment is one of the Scruffy Little Cat ones.  Stars are made from a die I bought at the Everything is a Pound stall. Sticking those stars to the wire - HARD!!!

I hope you are all having a good Wednesday, I've been told it's only 5 weeks now till I'm off on holiday for the fortnight - quite looking forward to laying in!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 336 & New Home Card

Hey-hey!

Time for another WOYWW - to find out what I am talking about, please visit our fabulous host Julia for all the information you need.  AI was nearing the end of this project when I photographed my desk.  I've been quite busy crafting, not as much as I would like and I've barely scratched the surface when it comes to Christmas Cards, but I WILL get organised.... somehow! I think I'll make some this weekend.

Today's card is for my little sister who moved into a new place, I still have another one of these to make, as two sisters decided to flit at the same time.

I love these LOTV papers, might actually be a bit addicted to them.  The papers are LOTV and the image is an LOTV topper.  it was pretty quick to make.  They are such pretty images.  I will put a new home sentiment on the card on the top left - WHEN I FIND THE STAMP! I have raided through and cannot find it anywhere.  I think I really need to get my stamps organised... eurgh :(

Ribbon, Butterfly and cheese cloth is all from the Ribbon Girl.  Gems are from my stash, I think I bought them in Hobbycraft though.

Hope you guys have enjoyed a peak at my desk today, I'm off for a peak at yours :o)

Birthday Box Card - Scruffy Little Cat

Good Morning Bloggers,

I hope you are all well, unlike me, I'm sick! waaaaah... I have the cold, but it's a terrible cough, really sound like I'm trying to cough my lungs out me, sniff sniff...

Anyway, I will not wallow... today's card is another box card - I am feeling very inspired by these cards at the moment. I bought some packs of pre-cut ones, whilst I could make the base myself, basically I'm lazy, so I don't.  :o)  This card is for my sister's birthday, I used the Scruffy Little Cat Stamp.  She is coloured with copics and a little bit of stickles glitter glue added to her eyelids.  She started out life as a blonde, until I got a bit heavy handed with the brown marker... ah well!

The papers I used to decorate the box are Magnolia (stars) and Papermania (stripes).  Gems are coloured with copics and from my stash.  The sentiment stamps are from various Scruffy Little Cat Sets.

It was a bold move to stamp directly on to the patterned paper but I think it's worked reasonably well.

I got really into the zone making this card, so much so I was very late to bed - oops! I think it was worth it though and hopefully my sister likes it too.

A close-up of my colouring.  Still practising - don't look too closely at the dress! he he...

I hope you guys like this and thanks for stopping by! Lyns xx
