Scruffy Little Cat - Onesie Birthday!

Morning Guys,

My mojo... Anyone seen it?! Nah me either! I hate when that happens 😱 it is so frustrating! Really need to try to get my head down and push to make things. Anyway this is a card I took lots of inspiration from the crafter's companion inspiration page and is one for my besties birthday.

The stamp is scruffy little cat by crafter's companion; coloured with copics. The bubbles embossing folder is also crafter's companion. I believe the heart paper is from papermania forever friends collection. Ribbon, button and gems from my stash and the centre label die that she is mounted on has stickles on the bubbles.

The card is all from crafter's companio too and has a lovely gold shimmer through it and it is beautiful however it is REALLY DIFFICULT to colour with alcohol markers.

I also added a touch of stickles glitter to the button.

This is very close to the inspiration I took from the inspire club at crafter's companion, I cannot see the watermark to give the credit where it is due! So if it's you! Thank you!

If you see my mojo do send it  home... Thanks for visiting! Lyns xx

WOYWW 279

Woops - bit late getting involved today - my bad!!

Not been up to much crafting, been doing a whole lot of buying craft stuff though - oh dear! So today's WOYWW picture is of my desk being productive and the beautiful stags on my computer wallpaper in the background.  I love that wallpaper - it's beautiful.

Anyway to find out what all us #deskcreeps are up to, do check Julia's brilliant blog here

I'm trying to find my mojo, it's lost at the moment... Bleh! It's very annoying, I hope I find it soon.

Right, off to creep everyone else's blogs :o)

Thanks for stopping by, Lyns xx

WOYWW 278

Happy WOYWW Everyone,

Another Wednesday another Desk Photo (to find out what we are doing, please check out Julia's Brilliant Blog #deskcreeps).  Today the desk is a bit of a tip at the moment, too much junk not enough space! As you can see I have a few Christmas Projects underway, there's definitely more in the pipeline too. I love Christmas, I was drooling over decorations in The Range at the weekend - that place is bankrupting me at the moment, as you will also see I have invested in an eBosser...

Here's a wee pic of my new pride and joy itself...

And some glue, tweezers and other junk... but mainly the Boss!

I don't have any other projects to share at the moment, but will be uploading soon... so stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of mayhem, look forward to creeping on your desks soon.

Die'sire Create a Card Christmas

Morning Guys,

Hope you are all good today? So I have a confession to make, I bought a new Die Cutting machine at the weekend.  I love my Cuttlebug, it's neat, compact and cute...  but it really restricts the sizes of dies and ultimate the size of cards you can make.  The Range are selling the eBosser at a £50 discount just now, so into my trolley it went.

As soon as I got home... I had to play!

I used the Create a Card Die from Crafter's Companion, added a couple of gems from my stash, coloured key pieces with my copics and added some stickles for a bit of winter sparkle.  I also used my snow cuttle bug embossing folder for the base card.  All the gems are coloured with copics to match the colour scheme.  Pretty cute I think.  I can't wait to get crafting more with these dies. They are fantastic.

I am also sharing a picture of the maniac Molly, she's been having her picture taken loads, as I got a new iPhone last week, the camera is certainly improved :D

It does help that Molly is super photogenic though.

The Ryder Cup 2014

3rd Fairway, Gleneagles, Scotland - 2014 Ryder Cup
Hi Guys,

Hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was eventful! :D I was at the Ryder Cup on Saturday, for all ye non-golf fans out there it is a bi-annual competition between Europe and the USA, played alternately between a course in Europe and a course in America.   This years was at Gleneagles, which is just a wee jaunt up the road for us!

Sunrise over Gleneagles, Scotland - 2014 Ryder Cup
It was an early start at 4.30am but worth it to get there for the first tee-off.  It was quite chilly, but it was great to see what great spirits all the fans were in even at that time in the morning.

Once it was a more respectable hour (i.e. all the Scots had been lurking about the bar for so long they decided to open 45 mins early) I began my liquid diet.  It was a great day, albeit it tiring, I was asleep in the back of the car at 9.30pm.  A great Ryder Cup for Europe and we definitely brought the noise!  #bringthenoise

Tomorrow I will be back with a normal crafty post, but I couldn't not share my little story of the Ryder Cup.

Thanks for stopping by! Lyns xx

More Sparkling Glasses

Hi Guys,

I have been at it again, sparkling more glasses! There wont be a single un-sparkly glass in my house when I am done! I even added iridescent glitter to the bottom of a pint glass! I'm almost certain that I walk about with glitter all over me, he he...  ah well!

I have used the same principal as before, if you'd like to know how to do this, check out my previous blog post here.  I give reasonably easy to follow instructions and besides it can't be difficult to do if I can do it!

I think these are so simple, but look great.  Mam even wants me to make some for her.

Thanks for stopping by guys!

Country Christmas

Friiiiiiiday - yeay!

It's been a difficult week, I'm glad that the referendum is over.  I have found the whole thing extremely stressful.  I was an undecided voter, right up until I was in the voting booth.  I am not sharing the way I voted.  I am proud to be Scottish and I decided a long time ago I would respect the democratic vote no matter the outcome.  I just really struggled to make my decision.  To say I am glad it is over now is an understatement.

On to today's card, another Country Christmas theme, why did I not get more of these decoupage sets. they make great quick cards.  I love the country/deer theme they have going on.

These were super fast to make, I think they are effective though. the gems are from my stash and everything else was in the set :o)

I hope you guys like, back to a weekend of crafting hopefully.

Thanks to you all for your comments on the referendum and as always for stopping by my blog.

WOYWW - 276 & A Country Christmas Card

It's WEDNESDAY and I remembered to photograph my desk (please check out Julia's Blog to see what we are up to #deskcreeps) there ain't a whole lot on it... I have to confess guys, I've not worked on many projects at the moment cos I'm a little bit fraught over the Scottish Referendum  Things are tense round here.  I kind of wish that Friday was a holiday so we can have a day to digest it.

To make up for my rubbish desk picture, I have uploaded a card that I made recently.

I made this using a plain piece of Kraft card and the Docrafts Country Christmas Decoupage set.

I think this is quite CAS and a bit different for me, but I like the effect.  All the bits and pieces were from a set except the pearls which were from my stash.

I am off for a hop shortly, if you are in Scotland (or not) I'd be interested to hear what you have to say about our wee independence referendum.

Thanks for dropping by, Lyns xx

Christmas Card LOTV

Hey Guys,

I just realised my WOYWW post from last week didn't go - d'oh! What a dosey cow I am!

Today's card is another Christmas Card, made using another LOTV stamp, I coloured this image up and was a bit bamboozled what to do with it... so I added some Frantage and then layered up.  I am still on my mission to use the old stash and I am winning the war!

The papers on this card are Country Christmas from Docrafts, stamp is LOTV coloured with copics and Spectrum Noir Pencils for a deeper colour.  The little wooden sign is from my stash as is the little wooden Christmas tree.  The Ribbon is also Country Christmas and the pearls are from my stash.

I have also used a little bit of stickles glitter glue on the star and tree lights.  I love this stamp, it's so cute!

Hope you guys like today's card, promise I'll remember to post for WOYWW this week.

Snowy Scenes Christmas Art Pad Card

Another project to share... :o)

I have been on a total roll! I cleared my desk too, so now the energy is so much less negative (code: cos the crap is cleared off the desk there is space free form me to make stuff).  Today's card is another LOTV Art Pad Snowy Scenes Image.  These are GREAT for making up quick cards, seriously so much quicker than me taking forever stamping and colouring.  Don't get me wrong, I still love stamping and colouring but sometimes I just want the instant gratification.

The papers are part of a Do Crafts Boofle set, the little Christmas trees are either docrafts or hobbycraft, I can't remember cos I ripped the cardboard bitty off of the packet - woops! Gems are from stash, the hessian Ribbon is from Docrafts and the snowflake ribbon - I have no idea, it was in my stash.  I did say before I'm trying to use up the stash and I'm totally nailing it guys!

Those little Christmas Trees have little self adhesive dots on the back making them super easy to stick down - cool huh?!

Hope you guys like today's project - see you tomorrow for some WOYWW action!

Fizzy Moon Birthday

Monday-Funday Everyone,

I am in a great mood today - makes a change for the start of the week, normally I'm grouched.  I think it was walking the dog in the fresh air and sunshine this morning that helped give me a boost.  I was fairly organised too, I'm always better if I'm not running around like a headless chicken.

Today's card is a birthday card I made for my friend's niece, using two LOTV paper pads, some Fizzy Moon Chipboards, card cut with my nesties, button from my stash, gems from my stash, lace from Ribbon Girl and Ribbon from my stash.  I'm doing good at battering through the old stash... Once it's gone it means NEW STASH! ha ha!

The inside is decorated to match... of course!

I hope you all are having a great start to the week too! Lyns xx

Mission - Use Old Stash - LOTV Christmas Art Pad

Happy Sunday... end of the weekend, waaaaaaah!

My weekend was busy, lots of catching up with my BFF, lots of crafting and lots of wine :o)

I have been on a mission to use up old stash and I think I'm doing well, I bought LOTV Art Pads to try and save myself a bit of time and I have to say it's working.  They leave me plenty of time to work out what I'm going to do with the billion year old stash! ha ha!

My papers are, erm, so old I can't remember! When I dig them back out I'll put in what they are. Stamp is LOTV, Art Pad is LOTV, Lace and Diamante Button are from Ribbon Girl (but the button is coloured with copics) the pearls are from my stash as is the snowflake ribbon.

I used my Sizzix Snowflake Die to cut out some super glittery paper on my cuttle bug.  What do you guys think and are any of you on a mission to use up old stash?

Thanks for stopping by! Lyns xx

LOTV Art Pads

Hey-hey! Happy Thursday!

I bought some of the great LOTV Art Pad Christmas images - mainly for speediness, I love stamping and colouring but when it comes to Christmas cards, it can become an extremely long process so the art pads provide a bit of a quick relief from that.

I have used some Boofle papers by docrafts, some craft card and glitter glue, the snow flake die came with my docrafts magazine and the pearls are from my stash.  This was super easy to make, but  think it still looks cute!

Hope you guys like, thanks for visiting my blog!

So it's a quick post to say! Look at the mess and erm, try not to judge! ha ha!

Glittered Martini Glass

Hiya Guys,

Didn't I say I'd been on a crafting marathon at the weekend... as promised another project shared today.  I have funked up a plain Martini glass.  Because I'm daft I forgot to take a picture of the plain glass, but I did take some whilst it was a work in progress...

Tools required:
A clean clear Martini Glass
Glitter (I used two colours but you could use what you want)
Wee Foam applicator thingie
Mod Podge
The 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum Voting Guide (or a bit of paper folded in half), I like to multi-use things and well that wee guide was lying there.

Using your foam thingie apply a layer of Mod Podge all over the stem and bottom of the glass, then shake that glitter like fook all where you want it.  Lift the glass and shake off the excess glitter.  Tip the excess glitter from your Independence Voting Guide back into the tub. I only covered half way up the stem of glitter so that I could create an ombre effect, like so...

Shake off excess glitter and then leave to dry, I left this a few hours and then applied a layer of Mod Podge over the top of the glitter, this dries clear and acts as a finishing coat, I left over night and then applied another thin layer just for extra protection!

The next day I added the gems, now they will eventually all probably fall off but they look cute for now.

I used my copics to colour the clear gems blue to match the glasses theme.

What do you guys think?  I think everything is gonna get GLITTERED!! We all have to remember not to let anyone dull our sparkle... things like a sparkly Martini glass help keep that at the forefront of our minds I think! ha ha!

Well I hope you all like my jazzy glass! If anyone gives it a bash, please let me know! It's fun!

Fizzy Moon Birthday

Hey hey Everyone,

I had a crafting MARATHON at the weekend, seriously, I made like 10 cards or something - I was on FIRE! I mainly made Christmas cards, but managed to squeeze out a couple of birthday cards too. today I am sharing one of the birthday cards I made for a friends niece.

I used a Sketch by LOTV's Ideas to Inspire blog.  I used a Fizzy Moon Chipboard mounted on card cut using nesties on the cuttlebug.

The papers are from LOTV, as is the stamp, the button, string and gems are from my stash the butterfly is from Ribbon Girl.

I have also decorated the inside to match, using another LOTV stamp.

I hope you like today's card guys and I'll be back tomorrow with some more projects :o)

It's Time to Party!

Gah! Monday! Gah!

What a riot of a weekend I had - My boss and his wife were celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary, so we helped them celebrate by going to their house getting drunk and eating too much.  It was brilliant, Bossman's house looks onto the beach, so it was entertaining watching him run into the freezing water.  We lucked out with the weather, Big Bertha's tail end seemed to only hit us properly on Sunday, so we managed to have a really good sunny but not too hot day on Saturday.

I decided yesterday that it was a day for chilling in the house, with cumfy clothes on quietly crafting.  I decided to stamp up one of the Scruffy Little Cat girls again, cos they are gorgeous... but colouring on the pearlised card was NOT easy... I know for next time, but it's come out alright I reckon.

Papers are LOTV, pearlised card is from crafters companion, ribbon is out the stash as are the gems, I think the charcoal sparkle card is by dovecraft, the image is coloured with my copics and a little bit of stickles added for added SPARKLE!

A wee close up of the manic colouring!

Well I hope you all like, what did you all get up to at the weekend?

WOYWW 270 & Charlie & The Chocolate Factory

Heya! We've made it to Wednesday...

I know it's ages since I've taken a WOYWW photo, but I swear the desk was bad... I couldn't have photographed it. Honest! Here is my shot for today though, this is me just having finished up making another Charlie & the Chocolate Factory card... if you saw my last post, you'll know I bought lots of Roald Dahl goodies at the weekend *think I might need more goodies* Anyhoo, this was just at the end of the project.  Look at the silicon glue, it bugs me it's like that... I hate when the toothpaste is like that too, I'm gonna have to fix it.

Here is said finished card, I was going for an 'imaginative thoughts coming off the page of the book' with this one... am I achieving that? I dunno.  It's a bit chaotic and mad but then so is the world of Roald Dahl so I think it works.

This is a better look at the decoupage.

On a separate note it's a total wash out here today, I had wellies, waterproof jacket and an umbrella on this morning.  To remember that it doesn't always rain in Scotland, here is a picture of Molly on a nice sunny day enjoying her ball and showing her enormous tongue.

I'm off for a peak at the other WOYWW folks - to see what it is we are up to, please visit Julia's blog.

Take Care, Lyns xx
