Kit & Clowder Monthly Class October 2017

Hi Everyone,

I apologise for the absence, I caught the cold and have had too much going on in my home life to keep up with the blog.  I'm back on the case now.

The above image is from the latest Kit and Clowder monthly colouring class, I really enjoyed colouring this.  Alyce breaks down each section you colour into separate chapters and it makes it seem so much more 'doable'.  In this image the first chapter is your penguins, which are from Whimsy Stamps.  You begin colouring the penguins bodies and feet, the second chapter is their clothing and accessories.  The two chapters together is about 1hour 20 mins of video which is perfect for me to cope with.  Doing it all at once might've been a bit too much for me.  I am looking forward to working on the rest of the image which is again broken down into further chapters, it's not just one chapter called background.

If you are looking to improve your colouring and learn art fundamentals and techniques I really really recommend signing up to Alyce's classes.  She's really patient and offers positive feedback along with everyone in the facebook group, it's a positive learning environment where beginners are welcomed and encouraged.

Hopefully my colouring will look somewhere close to this when I'm done! 😁

Thanks for visiting my blog everyone, Lyns xx

LOTV Engagement Shaker Card

This card is one I have made for my friend who got engaged on holiday in Italy.  I wanted to have another go at a shaker card and I think I definitely did better with this one - the sequins actually move around in this one 😂

The stamp is an LOTV one that I have coloured with copics - I really need to work on background colouring (this colouring homework list is never ending).

The papers are from a really old pad, the ribbons, sequins and jewel button are from The Ribbon Girl. The pearls are so old I can't remember where they are from.  I really wanted to add a sentiment, but I just can't find one that will fit, I think I'll stamp the inside instead!

Thanks for visiting guys!

WOYWW 434 - A toil toil witchy card on the desk!

Morning Wednesday Lovers,

Today's work desk is a witchy toil and troubled one...

Betty at Simply B Stamps runs a progressive challenge every month in her facebook group.  She gives away a free digital image and then sets up some rules to abide by... the rules were, you must use 2 ribbons and a polka dot paper.  I bought the digital papers from Printable Cuttable Creatables.  The desk isn't too much of a mess for once - I had a plan in mind so I could stick to it.

For anyone who is new to WOYWW and wants to know why I'm sharing a photo of my messy desk, please visit Julia's blog for all the info!

This is the final card, I wish you could see more of the dotty paper.  I'm not too happy with my colouring on the pleats.  It's my own fault, I've not been doing the kit and clowder classes enough, but I will get back into it.

Thanks for peaking at my project and desk, please leave a comment so I can visit you!

LOTV Christmas Card

Hi Everyone,

Today's card is brought to you by the C-word! 😆 I tried to mix my style up a bit, but I don't think I have succeeded! Woops.

This stamps are LOTV, as are the papers, which are unfortunately no longer available. The lace, ribbon and charm are from The Ribbon Girl.

I took inspiration on this card from a card making tutorial that Alyce from Kit and Clowder did for our monthly colouring class.  She had layered the lace at the side of the image and coloured some with her copics.  This worked really well, I recommend trying it if you are looking to get your theme more tied together.

The image is coloured with copics and a little bit of dovecraft glitter glue. This is one of my favourite stamps to colour, it's so cute!  I have also entered this card into the LOTV Colour challenge on Facebook, if you'd like to join in, please check out the LOTV Group page on Facebook.

I hope you guys like my latest Christmas addition, I better get my bum in gear and make a whole lot more because it'll be here before we know it.
